Gracie Jean is an emotional, observant and blunt storyteller of the more grim realities of her world. Often articulating thoughts and feelings that most people try to avoid, Gracie Jeans' songs fit in the broad category of Americana music, an umbrella term encompassing folk, country, bluegrass, singer-songwriter and roots music. Gracie has grappled with grief, longing and loss - and her music will feel like a warm reminder that they are integral parts of the human experience.

Gracie is a singer and songwriter who believes that art and music are an effective way of reminding people that their darkest parts are what make us all the same, and that it’s essential that we feel through these parts of our shared humanity together. In every sense, Gracie Jean is a vulnerable songwriter who connects and communicates real-life human experience.

“You have to be a bold human to be able to take your real feelings and your real emotions and put them out on a page. Not everyone is capable of that kind of vulnerability. Gracie has that in spades, and she’s willing to do that in spades. She is the real deal,” - Melody Moko.

Now in Sydney, NSW, Gracie Jean has grown accustomed to a life of constant upheaval and change. Often longing for a sense of ‘home’ that doesn’t quite exist in her life. Born and raised in Port Stephens, NSW, then Nambucca Heads, then Stockton, then Rosemeadow, then Campbeltown, Picton, and then back to Port Stephens, she now calls Sydney's Inner-West home, amongst her close friends and community.

Gracie Jean is an accomplished singer and backing vocalist, completing the CMAA Senior Academy in 2026 and having shared the stage with artists such as Casey Donovan, Budjerah, and Reuben Demelo as part of Rejoice Gospel Choir.

In a publication by ‘The Wild is Calling’, Gracie is described as “a little Dolly Parton, a little Kacey Musgraves, with a bit of bitter scorn known to Emmylou Harris and Lucinda Williams”. Gracie Jean will leave you feeling human and feeling held.
